Our Process

Talk Hydro Consultation Process

Public consultation is key to the future of Waterloo North Hydro. By talking to you – our customers and community members – we will shape the future of our utility.

From now through to September, residents and ratepayers are encouraged to “Talk Hydro” at public information centres, through surveys and on our Talk Hydro website.

Process Beyond Talk Hydro

Following the completion of the public consultation process, the City of Waterloo, Township of Woolwich and Township of Wellesley will use the Talk Hydro Evaluation Criteria to balance the technical comprehensive review and public sentiment. This feedback will be incorporated into a decision that will be presented in a motion at a joint Council meeting of the three municipalities. This motion will direct the Holdco Board, informing the future direction of Waterloo North Hydro.
